Our Mission
The Guyan River Cloggers was founded to ensure every child—regardless of financial background—has access to the arts. We are dedicated to preserving the cherished Appalachian tradition of clogging while making it accessible, inclusive, and relevant for today’s youth.
Who We Are
We are a not-for-profit dance organization based in rural Appalachia. Our group offers clogging classes, performance & competition opportunities, cultural education, and community engagement at no cost to families. We serve children and families in our area with a strong focus on accessibility and heritage.
What We Do
Our programs include:
- Free clogging classes for all skill levels
- Performances at local and regional events
- Participation in dance competitions
- Outreach in schools and community centers
- Distribution of clogging shoes, costumes, and travel support
All of this is made possible through community donations and volunteer efforts.
